My main take-away upon meeting this couple for their wedding consultation, way back before their wedding, was ‘YES! (high fiveing Todd in my mind) this is SO our/my couple!’ And why might that be?
Well, let me tell you: having not yet finalized their ceremony location yet, a concerned Genya asked me if I had shot at the Pres House before? (which I had) This was followed by his next all important question which was: does it smell like Subway inside? No, no it doesn’t. BUT YES (insert the high five)! Someone else shares in my Subway smell hysteria and knows full well how the smell, once stepping foot inside their door, clings to everything it has contact with and does not leave your clothing and hair for days. And if this was me considering a ceremony space located next to a Subway, that would be my very first question too. I have so many issues with smells it is a bit ridiculous, and I love coming across others who share the same sensory issue as me, as so to not feel so alone in my weirdness:)
ANYWAY, wow that was way too long of a side note, Laurel and Genya, yes, back to the main reason for this post. Their wedding! Their ceremony at the Pres House was short and sweet and free from the smells of Subway. It rained on and off for a bit, but cleared up which left them with beautiful weather for their outdoor reception at MMOCA, which was followed by dancing under the lights of downtown Madison, and ended with a fourth of July firework show.
