Kelsey and Eugene had a touch of the un-traditional in that they eloped 6 months before they came back to Madison to share their celebration with family and friends. Because Eugene is in the air force he is stationed in North Dakota which is where he and Kelsey tied the knot. My first guess was that they still had maybe a few people there, a sibling or a best friend maybe- nope. It was just the two of them, and whats even more sweet is that right after saying their vows they rented bicycles and had a post wedding bike ride where it sounds like all kinds of fun and cuteness was had.
Skip ahead 6 months to April 23rd: Kelsey and her hubby flew into Madison where they had a quick meeting with me, made some rounds to visit family, made some more rounds to some places to eat and drink, slept, and woke up the next day to share in the celebration with their family and friends.
Kelsey and her super pretty bridesmaids- all BFF’s- got ready at The Edgewater Hotel first. All the girls wore flower crowns, and Kelsey although already married, wore a fun and flowey white wedding dress. Then the bride and groom had their ‘first look’ up at the Capital building followed by portraits downtown where onlookers cheered not only for Kelsey and Eugene, but also for the groom thanking him for his service in the air force, which was evident because he wore his uniform for part of the day:) From downtown, everyone headed to The East Side Club to dinner and drinks out by the lake.
