Kara and Mahesh:
One of the things that I love about shooting weddings, especially in Madison, is all of the interesting, smart, intelligent people that I get to meet that I otherwise would not have the opportunity cross paths with. Kara and Mahesh are no exception. Kara is a family doctor and Mahesh is a professor of a super intricate, fancy science that I have never heard of, let alone could even figure out how to pronounce. Kara and Mahesh are two people that just make me really grateful to be in a city full of such brilliant people that are using their gifts to help change the world. Pretty cool. And pretty cool that they found each other, and that they hired me to capture their wedding day:)
Their wedding ceremony took place on the rooftop of one of my all time favorite venues- The Madison Museum of Contemporary Art. There was some back and forth about having their ceremony outside due to the spotty rain, but they were adamant about keeping it on the rooftop and we were lucky enough to stay dry while they said their vows.
Kara and Mahesh had their wedding reception at the same location- except the party got moved inside once the rain decided to return. This was my second wedding in a row getting to work with Amy from Kuhl Entertainment, which I was super excited about because she is awesome at what she does! She helped guide the reception along from speeches, to the bride and grooms first dance, and finally to the everyone dance party where some pretty sweet music was played.
All in all it was a really great wedding.
