I love portraits with a purpose; when a bride and a groom have purpose and meaning behind the portraits that they want to do for their wedding day. Not only did Erin and Gary;s portraits have nostalgic meaning behind them, but their choice for her dresses and their ceremony and reception spaces did as well.
Erin and Gary traveled all the way back to Freemont , WI from London to get married in the same church that her grandparents were wed in many years ago and in the same dress.. Erin shared some images from their wedding with me, and wanted to recreate some of the poses and locations. Pretty awesome idea!
Erin changed into her mother’s wedding dress, then we traveled down the road to Erin’s uncle’s farm, which was a place that she grew up visiting. Our last stop was a very iconic up north Wisconsin restaurant and reception site that her parents used for their wedding reception as well 20 some years ago.
